    Sorry for the delay in replying, I’m not receiving notifications when a reply is posted for some reason so didn’t know you’d responded.

    I do indeed mean linking to other posts. I’m trying to use WordPress as a CMS rather than a blogging software, so it is fairly important that users can link to other pages/posts internally (by external I meant other http://www.domain.com addresses).

    Is there a plugin that can handle this? Or is it a case of having two windows open (one with the page you want to link to, the other the page you’re editing) and copy-pasting the URL?

    Thanks for getting back to me, and for the good advice. I’m starting to feel WordPress has an incredibly responsive and kind community, which is always nice to get involved with.

    I’m relatively new to PHP, but have taught myself online for a bit, so I’ll take your word for it that it’s easy enough to modify existing plugins/write my own. I managed to do it with Joomla, so no doubt I should be able to do it with WordPress, at least to some degree.

    Thanks for getting back to me. That’s great news for the images – how about the internal links? Will users need to copy-paste the URL for those?

    Also, how about uploading other types of files – is there a list of file types you can/can’t upload? I only ask because I tried uploading a strange file type and rejected big time.
