In reply to: themes don’t show in admim design –> themes panelMy blog is http://www.constructedconsciousness.net (not published yet) and the 4 themes I tried are artificial, washme-inverted-10, yellow-3-10, and newtheme (I dragged the contents of extracted theme folder architects-35 into the newtheme folder i created to see if that would work).

In reply to: Error 404 – Not found when I try to install WPI can of course create new folders within Cyberduck though. i actually tried moving the WP files into a subfolder to see if that would work (and used the appropriate url in a browser afterwards) but I still got the Error 404 message.

1and1 assigned me my FTP info and does’t allow me to assign an FTP directory name. So the only folder available when I connect is this unnamed folder (/)Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Error 404 – Not found when I try to install WPBecause I didn’t want to install the WP stuff in a subfolder, I just dragged all the WP files to the main remote site pane in Cyberduck (as instructed by Booth’s guide) – that pain already contained a few folders from the existing site. This remote site pane is the first pane that comes up when I connect to my FTP. I’m assuming this is the correct root directory?

In reply to: Error 404 – Not found when I try to install WPThanks – yeah, I’ve checked that all the WP files and folders are on my FTP. But the three folders are called wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes. Should I get rid of the wp-config-sample.php?
I’m a little scared to delete all the WP files from the FTP and re-upload them in case I also delete any files from my existing website…
