OK, I’ll read that. Thanks for helping me. If you don’t mind, please let me repeat back to you guys how this works to make sure I understand it.
I have to upload WordPress to the server and install it on the server. Then, I can develop the web pages locally and upload them to the server to go live. Correct?
If so, then I need to get permission from the owner before I install any software on their server. So far I’ve just been modify a page here and there and uploading it.

I don’t own the web site, I’m just helping out. I’ve been using FileZilla to download a web page, modify it in HTML using Komodo Edit, then upload it with FileZilla. This is fine for some things, but to do much I need a way to edit web pages without having to do it all in HTML.
I downloaded the whole website to a folder on my mac. What would be really nice is if there was a way to view and edit the web site locally and be able to modify them easier, that is not HTML for everything but actually view the pages as they would look, then upload the pages I make changes to. Is there any way to do that?
