In reply to: Slap Upside The HeadLoves it! Great idea and great look. And though I like the search function on the front page usually, I LOVE THE SEARCH PAGE. Great illustration. Maybe you could shrink it and put it above the search if you move it to the sidebar?
Anyway, great job!Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: tags what practical use are theyI have to disagree with you, Ladydelaluna. I think tags should be used anything other than sparingly. When I post, I throw every tag that seems to make sense in UTW. Why?
Technorati and Google just love tags. Tags have done more to increase my readership (according to my stats) than anything else. I don’t use tags that don’t make sense, so don’t get me wrong, but I think that any tag that makes sense should be added. In fact, I don’t even use categories anymore.
Just my 2 cents.Forum: Themes and Templates

In reply to: CSS Question: Blocked ThemeOh, also –
You COULD delete the image reference in the CSS and just make CSS boxes that look the same, but that would be harder IMHO.

In reply to: CSS Question: Blocked ThemeWell, I’m no CSS master, but luckily, this ain’t no CSS problem.
Bad grammar aside, here’s the problem –
Behind the CSS, the boxes are formed by an image. This one:
http://shanghaientrepreneurs.com/dev3/wp-content/themes/blocked/pic/bottombarbg.gifYou can edit the CSS all day and night, it won’t change how those boxes look. I’d suggest altering the background image in Photoshop or GIMP to make three boxes of the size you like, then alter the CSS to fit.

In reply to: Which template is the easiest to customize?I’d say that both The “Default” theme that comes with WordPress (called “Kubrick”) is very easy to customize. Especially if you are just starting out with wordpress and / or CSS.
Once you feel more adept with WordPress and design, the “K2” theme: http://getk2.com is also great, and by the same gent who did “Kubrick.”Forum: Plugins
