Jetpack plug in. I thought you would want to know that there is a vulnerability in the plug in…cost me time and money to get the site back up.
We have further investigated the matter and found that the feature causing the HEAD requests is named “Jetpack Social”. You can activate/deactivate it in your WordPress Dashboard -> Jetpack -> Settings -> Sharing:”
