OK, I found a user Doctor99 in the PHP, I deleted that and added mine, thanks for your help Esmi.
I have tried the items listed above, at least the ones I feel comfortable with, and wp-admin still says my username is incorrect. I would really appreciate some help. I can do minor coding, but only if it is specific. Thanks
