I just wanted to touch base with you about updating my Yoast SEO Premium plugin (from version 24.6 to 24.8). Unfortunately, I’ve hit a roadblock in the process. No matter whether I updated it under WordPress automatically or downloaded the zip file and then uploaded it, it said, “Update failed: Download failed. Forbidden.” I talked to Yoast cs who told me it was caused by Flatsome but my IT developer mentioned that it may not be a compatibility issue with the Flatsome theme for a few reasons.

It seems that the page builder might be causing the problem, as the articles Yoast shared focus more on functionality rather than on update issues. Additionally, the page builder shouldn’t be preventing other plugins from updating.

“I tried reaching out to the Flatsome IT support team, but their website – “contact” isn’t working properly. I hope anyone from wp can figure this out soon. Now, even if I use the old version, i.e. 24.6, some functions can’t be performed properly, e.g., AI generation of SEO titles and SEO descriptions. Thank you.
