Hi @perfectword7,
Yes, .7 should not have any XSS issues we are aware of.
If you’re still seeing that alert after you update to .7, please submit a ticket via our contact form https://wppopupmaker.com/support/#submit-a-support-ticket/

Have a great day!
P.S. We think it’s good practice to keep your plugins up-to-date 😉
Hey @noelawill,
No worries at all. If you don’t mind, please share your solution with the rest of us. It might help someone.
Thanks so much 🙂
Hey @aaron140400,
Thanks for posting.
Do you see any errors in your browser console when that issue happens? Here are instructions for Chrome’s dev tools console https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/open/#console. If so, please post a screen capture or copy/paste the error for us.
Have you checked for plugin or theme conflicts? Here’s a step-by-step guide for doing that if you need it https://gist.github.com/marklchaves/90f5af8d0ea08d6e54254f2afb1109df. You might need to keep your code snippets plugin on while testing, but turn off all snippets except for the one you need.
Lastly, can you make sure your PHP max_input_vars setting is more than 1,000 (try 3,000 or more)? Here’s how to check that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VncMMK5WHnI&t=150s. Your hosting provider should be able to help you increase that.
If you’re still seeing that issue, can you submit a ticket via our contact form?

That way we can get more details from you and take a closer look.
Cheers!
Hi @rethus,
Just a quick update. We haven’t been able to reproduce the issue. We’ll keep trying and keep you posted.
Thanks so much!
Hey @byzgl,
We’re not seeing that issue on our end.
Can you make a screen capture of the restriction content settings you’re using, upload it to a shared area, and send us the link?
Here’s an example.

If you’d rather, feel free to submit a ticket via our contact form.

Then, we can follow-up with you there.
Cheers!
Hey @catuyen,
Sorry you’re getting the whole post content restricted. That shouldn’t happen and it’s not happening for us using your exact shortcode (copied from here and pasted into our Gutenberg editor).
Here’s what we get.

Can you try the following:
1) Clear all caches.
Browser https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
WordPress, server, database, and CDN caches
– https://wordpress.org/support/article/i-make-changes-and-nothing-happens/
– https://help.thrivethemes.com/en/articles/5332026-how-and-why-you-should-clear-your-cdn-cache`
2) Check your browser console for any errors.
3) Try to rule out a plugin or theme conflict by following this guide https://gist.github.com/marklchaves/90f5af8d0ea08d6e54254f2afb1109df
Please let us know how that goes.
Thanks so much!
Hey @mo7se7,
Our exit-intent and auto display popups don’t use a cron job. Right now, we only use a cron for analytics (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/is-pum_weekly_scheduled_events-cron-job-needed/#post-14677985).
So, you should be good-to-go.
Let us know if you experience anything different.
Have a great day 🙂
Hey @duncanreyneke,
We want to check in with you. Did you make any progress on any of our suggestions?
Also, can you provide a couple more things for us?
1) List of plugins: Can you head over to your Site Health Info tab (wp-admin/site-health.php?tab=debug), copy the site info to your clipboard, and paste it into an email or a file attachment to us?
2) Popup Maker error log: Can you do a similar thing with the Popup Maker error log (wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=popup&page=pum-tools&tab=error_log)?
Feel free to start a new thread on our help desk system to send that info over.

Hey @ashdowntech,
Thanks for posting.
There might be a couple of things going on there.
1) Since Divi Builder displays a live preview, we recommend you disable Popup Maker only while you’re editing a page using Divi Builder. Here’s a hook you can use as an example for doing that.
https://gist.github.com/marklchaves/8556c81fa103946af1643158fc81e770
Just a heads up that this could stop working any time Elegant Themes changes the code this hook depends on.
We’d love to automate that some day when there’s a published (and stable) API for temporarily disabling Divi Builder.
2) If the popup doesn’t display on the public (front-end) side of that page even if it should, there might be a possible conflict that’s blocking it.
If that happens to you (only on the front-end if you’re running the hook above), can you try the suggestions in this troubleshooting guide?
https://docs.wppopupmaker.com/article/544-your-popup-is-not-displaying-on-your-homepage
Please let us know how all that goes 🙂
Thanks so much!
Hey @rethus,
Sorry for the delay. Thanks so much for letting us know.
We’ll try to reproduce (reprex) that issue and figure out what’s going on.
Please stay tuned.
Have a great weekend 🙂
Hey @obsite,
We appreciate you letting us know. We’ve added that to our list to check and take care of in a future release.
In the meantime, feel free to leave a review here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/content-control/reviews/
Have a great weekend 🙂

In reply to: [User Menus - Nav Menu Visibility] Uncaught TypeErrorHey @dregad,
Thanks so much for letting us know about the conflict. Having more than 1 menu restriction plugin can definitely step on some toes.
If you have any more questions or get stuck anywhere using User Menus, don’t hesitate to give us a yell.
Have a great weekend 🙂

In reply to: [User Menus - Nav Menu Visibility] Uncaught TypeErrorHey @dregad,
We’re sorry you’re getting that TypeError.
We’ve been running WP 5.9.2, PHP 8.0, and User Menus 1.2.9 for a while now with no errors.
Have you tried ruling out a plugin or theme conflict yet?
Here’s how you do that.

In reply to: [User Menus - Nav Menu Visibility] Plugin Requires Me to Opt-in or not use itHey @pampro,
We’re sorry you’re getting that. That’s actually the first report we’ve seen of that issue.
Have you tried deleting the User Menus plugin and then doing a fresh install? Sometimes plugins get corrupted during the installation.
Also, if you haven’t yet, you might need to rule out a plugin or theme conflict. Here’s how to do that.
https://gist.github.com/marklchaves/90f5af8d0ea08d6e54254f2afb1109df
Lastly, any chance you can update your PHP and WordPress? It’s best to run on the latest versions.
Please let us know how that goes.
Have a great day 🙂
