Yes, I tried using the [response] tag. It seems to effect my button hover class and or creates unwanted spaces between my fields.Here is my existing tag layout:

I need to enter ‘[email* email-669 18/ watermark “Enter Email”] ‘ into the mail section is how I am interpreting the tutorial…still not working.

You were right, that did remove the gray border but also removed my text!Also, for some reason the ‘submit button action’ is relegated to the upper half of the button.
So much appreciate your assistance!

I’ve followed some tutorials on building your own submit button, but have this chronic gray half border and button doesn’t function either..
In your amazing contact form 7 wisdom, do you see anything I’m doing wrong with my css?

That worked! Simple fix.
I’ve seen other email fields have text inside the box, is this a water mark feature?
