  • Ok thanks! I’m in the process of upgrading to 2.8.1 now. 🙂

Thanks! I noticed as well when going to the Permalinks page on WP Dashboard/Admin I still can see the errors I posted before. 🙁

It just gets annoying to have this messages, even if the update/delete was done successfully.

I also tried the update from WP Dashboard/Admin, but the errors remain 🙁

I am experiencing the same problem. I did an upgrade first but my upgrade did not work so I installed a fresh wordpress 2.8.

Everytime I try to update or delete a page/post I get

Warning: is_writable() [function.is-writable]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/xxx:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /home/xxx/public_html/wp/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 128

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxx/public_html/wp/wp-admin/includes/misc.php:128) in /home/xxx/public_html/wp/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 865

when I go back to managing the post or page I can see that the post/page I deleted/updated was successfully deleted/updated.

how do we fix this problem?
