i figured it out myself. by analyzing the original files in the upgrade folders to what was on my server, i realized i had too many installs of files in the wrong directories. i had in fact installed and deleted installs in the wrong directories… and then a few days later while trying a fix i re upgraded… anyway i see the files dated for the date of the first upgrade, are duplicate in their parent directories…

long story short, i deleted the files that were dated for the first date, being careful for certain critical files like index and wp-config. I basically cleaned up the duplicate misplaced files and my problem was SOLVED!!!!

I am having a similar problem… Can anyone please help me???

Whenever I try to click on a category I get an error msg that says

    No input file specified.

I am using the Bluebird theme by Randa Cray (sp?)

I just noticed this problem today after upgrading to the new release a couple days ago…

also, when I search my own site, the first results page shows up but when I click the link for previous entries, I get the exact same result

    No input file specified.

What can I do to fix this???
