In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Beware!I would like to make a comment on my post above. It seems that the developer is correct in that your settings will be saved if you change from theme to theme if only you insert your adsense code in all the themes first before changing from theme to theme. Then when you do switch themes your adsense code is there. But if you only insert your adsense code in one theme and install another theme, then your adsense code will not carry over to the newly installed theme – you must first add your adsense code first into the easy adsense control panel then if you switch back and forth the code is then saved. But this is deceptive to newbies because other adsense plugins will keep your adsense code in there when switching to other themes. You don’t have to always re-insert your adsense codes into the adsense control panel. I wonder if the developer would comment on why it was designed this way and if he would change it. It’s not a difficult fix to make.

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Beware! This developer is sneaky & slick for those who are first using this plugin because he will steal your adsense when changing from theme to theme; and maybe other things too, like when he upgrades the plugin – watch out and check all your settings because his code he puts in will default to his adsense code and he will get paid monies until you discover it. He states in his details that you can change themes and your adsense settings will not change. This simply is not true – they do default back to his adsense codes and then you have to re-enter all your codes again to get paid your adsense earnings. I just changed themes (3) times with (3) different themes (cleared the cach) and his code was sitting there in there and on all my website pages. He clearly states you can change themes and the code will be saved – but it doesn’t. Pluggin developers like him should not be allowed to have his plugin featured in the WordPress Plugins area. I stated this a few months back and he said the changes where made that this will not happen and it keeps on happening; and not by accident either, he knows what he’s doing and he keeps putting in newer sneakier codes to collect adsense revenues from the newbies. I vote for this guy to be banned from WordPress because he clearly states that this will not happen and it does. This is what crooks do. They lie & deceive.

In reply to: Adsense doesn’t show up in catagoriesMichael,
thank you for the above advice. By the way do you know how to change the color of the links in the editor area for any theme?
Thanks when you get the chance.

In reply to: Adsense doesn’t show up in catagoriesI have just installed the ‘Carrington Crowd Favorite & ‘Carrington Text’ themes and I am happy to say that they have corrected the Catagory/adsense problem I explained above! Since this is corrected I highly reccomend these themes because they do work nicely with all pluggins and other widgit functioning very smoothly. Thank You Carrington for listening!!! Theme developers that listen to us non geeks will come out to be the last ones standing in a few years, while all the other non listening theme developers will fall out and be working at Burger King someplace.

In reply to: Page Titles don’t come out on PagesJessn,
thanks, this took care of this. I contacted the company who created this theme and they answered like this:
“We appreciate your using our theme but as it is our resources are limited, we have to reserve our technical support for our ‘pro’ theme customers. I can take a quick look though:
“There is also a ‘theme option’ to turn WP page titles on.
when you click on a catagory; the landing catagory page doesn’t tell you what catagory your on. Same thing happens on archives
Our themes don’t include the category title on those pages. You can modify this quickly if you know how to edit theme files. Look in the _posts.php file and reference the wordpress support documentation/forum if you need guidance.”There is no “theme option” to turn pages on or off on the pages. It amazes me how these theme developers create themes and want links back to their sites but can’t even answer elementry questions such as the above one I had, but someone else can who did not even develope the theme. It makes me wonder if I should even use this theme because the developer may not be qualified to handle future WordPress upgrades that may also have to be made on the theme itself to function properly along with future WP upgrades.
Thanks jessn for answering it. You seem to be more qualified then the company who made the Whitehouse theme by Pagelines.

In reply to: [Plugin: Advertising Manager] Space between posts added…switzer,
I dont believe you don’t have the issue with your plugin of leaving blank spaces on the home page or catagory page where there are more then 3 Google ads displayed. Your plugin leaves blank spaces on the home page after 3 Google ads are displayed and it looks like shi_. ‘Easy Adsense Plugin’ works this out in their plugin and it works like a charm. Why can’t you correct this? Are you guys rookies. You’ve had this issue for two years and you still have people posting about it, yet you haven’t fixed it. What’s the deal homeboy?

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?manojtd,
you seem to have done it again saying you changed: enforcing code removed, but how do we know for sure since you CANNOT tell in the Easy Adsense Admin area whether or not if this will actually occur if you set ad sharing to 0? My feeling is you will be double coding to make sure your ads show up even though the ad sharing is set to 0 in your next upgrade.

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?manojtd,
please remove the 1% floor. You’ll get links to all my sites and future ones if you do because your adsense program is the best except for that little sneaky feature.

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?petervanderdoes,
the problem in 2.8 is the whole website goes out along with much of the admin panel.

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?petervanderdoes,
Why can’t you just delete:
if ($mc <= 1) $mx = 111 ;
It seems this should take care of it.
What do you think Peter?

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?Dear petervanderdoes,
this code does not work in WP 2.8. It seems fine in 2.71. Disconnect plugin if anyone has any problems.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?Dear petervanderdoes,
where does the author state you can do this with the code you gave?
How can you be trusted that this code will not cause any problems with this plugin?

In reply to: [Plugin: Easy AdSense] Developer shows own adsense ?tvds & dholowiski
I set my settings for Easy Adsensor to ‘not share – 0%’. I put in all my adsense codes in all the boxes so as to show my ads. But guess what? The developers adsense (for Easy Adsense) pops up every once in a while on my website. I have used other adsense plugins and these developers all seem to have a way to make sure their ads will show up on your site, even if you turn off the revenue sharing buttons in their settings area. It seems like when there is a plugin upgrade by the adsense developers and you upgrade to their new plugin, this is where they slip in a code to have their ads appear on your site even if your settings are set to ‘not have any of their ads’ show up on your site.
Easy Adsenser had an upgrade on their plugin on 6-21-2009 and I upgraded. I checked my settings and everything was set to my liking (which was to ‘not share’ any adsense revenue; o% in Easy Adsense and all my Google adsense codes are all mine in every box in the Easy Adsense settings area. I browsed through a few pages in my site and after the 5th page ‘BAM’ their appeared the developer of Easy Adsenser’s Google ad in my sidebar (which was a 160×600 skyscrapper ad). I checked the VIEW at the top of my broser page then SOURCE and I scrolled down to where my Google 160×600 skyscrapper ad was and there was the Easy Adsenser’s developers PUB number with his Google adsense ad their instead of mine. I went to my settings page to make sure all my settings were set as I mentioned above, and they were just the way I wanted them set- 0% and all my Google ads inserted in all the boxes. This has happened ever since I used the plugin. The funny thing about when I viewed the source code to my webpage was that the developers Google adsense code set up date was the exact day that a new upgrade for this plugin came in which I auto upgraded in my WordPress blog. These adsense plugin developers get links back to their sites from our blogs so do they really need to do develope plugins that are criminal? Yes, that’s right this is criminal because it’s stealing. If there is an option to turn off revenue sharing with their adsense plugins then I have a right to turn it off! Others may keep it on and share so they will recieve monies from those who want to share. The developers of these Google adsense plugins should acept that and not try and steal from others. THIS IS ESSENTIALLY A ‘WHITE COLLAR CRIME’ and WordPress should take off their plugins from the plugin section if they do not stop. There are other Google adsense plugins which are 100% revenue sharing – in other words you can’t turn off the revenue sharing with them if you use their plugins. They are honest with their plugins at least. If you use their plugin you know you will be sharing revenue with them. I have 25 websites, so I have had my experience with these Google adsense plugin developers. One plugin where this does not seem to happin is Adsense Manager, which I have on 10 other websites. I’m not 100% sold on this plugin because the developer has not been able to correct the problem on the HOME page and Catagory pages where if there are more then 3 ads showing on the pages (Googles adsense policy) there are white outs there instead of my Google ads so it looks kind of clumsey or unprofesional. They should ‘tighten up’ these white out areas like Easy Adsense does with their plugin.
So my word of advice on ‘Easy Adsense’ – is to browse through your webpages to your website and even have your brothers/sister/parents/friends from other computers to make sure the developers Google ads do not show up on your website when you have your settings set to not have this turned on to allow it. This is the only way to keep these adsense plugins developers honest. If everyone who installs this plugin keeps an eye out for this, then they will play honestly and their plugins will work as they say they will. If they don’t, post it to this WP plugin forum and hopefully the word will get out to WordPress and they will bar them from their plugin section. I think these developers think they are going to get rich from their plugins and when they don’t, the temptation to steal is too easy and they start developing codes in their upgrades to have their ads pop up at random times to criminally take money from people who are using their plugins on their websites. Whatever the case, it’s a white collar criminal crime and they have to learn to play by the rules like every other hard working stiff in this world (including me). I hopes this helps anyone who is using this plugin now, or is thinking about using it on their website. If you do, make sure you check up on your sites pages as I explained above, and to especially check up on them after a new upgrade comes out from them. If anyone else is having the same problem post it here ASAP so we can help those who arn’t as web smart and just starting out. God knows the internet has enough unscrupulous individuals who are doing these types of things.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Adsense Manager 3.0mutube,
I have your adsense plugin installed on my WordPress blog. I use Google sdsense. On the home page of my blog after (3) adsense blocks are shown the next two areas (In the next new post or two )where their should be a adsense block it shows a 3 inch blank area instead of it tightening up like it does later down in the rest of my post in my home page. Why does it show these blank areas? Why does it not tighten up like the rest of the page where their are adsense blocks but they can’t be shown.(because of the Google rules and the way you have it programed to follow them)
Please advise on how to correct this.
Thank You!
