I used the search function but perhaps I wasn’t specific enough with the filters as I seemed to get tens of themes, many of which I subsequently found didn’t fit the bil.
I can continue this precess but thought I might save a bit of time and wasted effort by asking here.
For example if this was the e107 cms I could answer “try X or Y” but as a newbie to WP I’m not in that position, yet.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Good and simple slideshow plugin (excluding Nextgen Gallery) ?OK I’m brand new to WP but I was after just such a thing and found Meteor Slideshow and it does everything you need I think.
It’s pretty easy to set up and it worked for me first time once I’d sussed out what to do after watching their tutorial video.
