I have been working with WordPress 3.8.1 and the 2014 theme for a few weeks and all was going well until suddenly the site tagline stopped displaying and the primary sidebar dropped to the footer area. I have been unable to correct this either by deleting content from the site or by uninstalling and then re-installing WordPress.
(In Settings, I do have “WordPress should correct invalid nested XHTML automatically” ticked and I cannot see any incorrect div tags.)
Any idea how I can get the tagline and primary sidebar to display correctly again?
