Yes strange behavior. I guess I hadn’t author sitemap at all. After last plugin update I have it.
No idea how to disable it.have the same issue with the latest version of wp seo plugin and WP-Super-Cache.

For example official site of Yoast has the main page in its sitemap:
http://yoast.com/post-sitemap1.xmlAnd main page is configured as daily change frequency and 100% prio.
I would have it in the same way.
Is it possible?
