Dear Ipstenu-DH,
It worked!!! Thank you so much!!!
This is how I have it now from what you told me above:
MAIL
To:
michael@shagdesign.com
From:
WordPress <wordpress@shagdesign.com>Still doing the same thing but this time replying to wordpress@shagdesign.com and since it’s not a valid email, it’s undeliverable.
I’m using the default iMac mail so maybe that is why it’s not working but that shouldn’t be the case. Although I do see in the message body the email that sent me the email, when I hit reply, the to should be directed at the email address that was put into the from field, not my email or wordpress@shagdesign.com.
Should “Reply-to: [your-name] <[your-email]>” be in the message body in place of the default “From: [your-name] <[your-email]>” or somewhere else?
Hello,
Yes, I have that in my fields. This is how it looks:
MAIL
To:
michael@shagdesign.com
From:
[your-name] <[michael@shagdesign.com]>MESSAGE BODY:
From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
Subject: [your-subject]When I test the form, I receive the email at my dreamhost account (michael@shagdesign.com) but it shows that it’s from/reply to michael@shagdesign.com as well. Is there a way to fix this??
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Receiving blank emails – contact form 7Hello,
I have the same problem. I get hosting from Dreamhost and found some old blog posts that say I should install “Configure SMTP” plugin, create new email address and then put that email address in the “from” field. Tried that and didn’t work…still get that “blank” email.
Would love to get this resolved!!
