I have the same issue with BackWPup and WP Statistics, since the last update:
“WARNING: File name “wp-content/uploads/wp-statistics/…
…is too long to be saved correctly in TarGz archive!”

plugins like “Better Plugin Compatibility Control” shows the version data from the plugin readme.txt “Tested up to:” or wordpress plugin desciption “Compatible up to:”
It would be very helpful for all users if you update in time “Compatible up to:” in your mailpoet plugin description and the plugin readme.txt “Tested up to:”.
