I somehow never got an email about your troubleshooting reply – sorry.
In order not to mess up my live site, I cloned it via WP Staging – and in that staged copy, editing the form works. It still doesn’t on the live site. No other changes were made. I then tried all the troubleshooting steps you offered – no success.
I have zero idea why, it’s supposed to be a 100% clone. I’ll get on their forum to see if they have any idea, if you think that helps? Or might it be something on the file level – a rwx permission set wrong that the copy process might have autocorrected or something?
ETA: in the wpforms options, if I set the form styling to “Basic” or “No Styling”, I can click on the form just fine. I now fiddled with CSS until the form looked the way I wanted it to – not ideal for the end user probably, but of course it’s up to you if you want to continue investigating 🙂
