I wasn’t sure what you meant by a “Shortcode” block – I put the shortcake for the table into a paragraph block. Is that what you meant?

I tried changing the theme to Twenty Ten as you suggested and it does seem to have helped.
I also notice that the problem doesn’t seem as bad with IE as with Mozilla.

In reply to: Admin page VERY slow loading and comes up only textI followed the resetting the plugins folder link you included but it is just getting me more confused. It mentions versions of WordPress so that you know if you can download the program.
A lot of the information looks as if it is intended for people who have WordPress on their own servers not using the basic WordPress system.
Sorry to appear a dummy but can someone answer two initial questions so I can take this one step at a time.
1. How do I tell which version of WordPress I am using?
2. How do I see which plugins I have?

You mention downloading WordPress but I don’t recall ever doing that.
I go online to access it. As far as I am aware it isn’t on my PC but I have been using it for a long time so may have forgotten.
Where would I do the uploading you mention?
