@danieliser – None of my popups have had animation, and as far I know there isn’t any setting for the closing animation.
However, I did try setting the animation from none to anything else (eg. fade), and that actually seems to work!
So to conclude the issue:
No animation = Issue
Any animation (Fade, Slide, etc) = No issue

@emmalone – Try setting your popup animation from NONE to any kind of animation. That worked for me.
