Yes I have the exact same issue as well. Since updating to WordPress 5.2.2 the Generate Passsword field is set to “Hidden”, no matter what you do.
The company I work for has over 400 domains, all located on BlueHost, so I thought their servers were blocking something after the update. I have been searching for a solution for days now, getting frustrated with BH, and finally stumbled onto this tread.
The only way I’ve been able to get WordPress 5.2.2 to show the Generate Password button or “New Password” field is to turn off Javascript, outside of going into the database and updating it there. My admins need to be able to update their passwords and I’m hoping WordPress can come out with an update quickly.
