    Thanks for the response Tara….
After my new server is up, I was told that OpenSSL would be 1.0.2 and it’s not, hence the continua error message.
    Thanks Michael

Yep, that is what I was told the 1st time I posted this issue here, and I upgraded my server with a new and current version, which included the current OpenSSL version 6.0.
So can it be anything else?
    Thanks Micahel

    Hello again,

I just put an SSL on my server. It’s one that won’t give a disclaimer or warning to go further. I installed it on the server with no issues.
So this means it works :)..

However, i log into WP site and I get this error:

Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home/hofmannpublishin/public_html/wp-admin/includes/plugin-install.php on line 158

It’s similar to what I got before, but shorter LOL.

    Any ideas??

    Thanks Michael

    Thanks for the response :)….

What is the link between WP and WP.org?

I’m going to put up a WP site and see if I get the error again. I don’t see how a site gets this error if an SSL is not needed. Since I’m into an existing site, not sure “what” was dont to create this error. I know some of the sites need an SSL, and that is in process… just trying to understand ‘why’ and how the WP and WP.org are working together.
