    No, the switch to Twenty Twenty-Five theme made no difference. Still frozen.

    Thanks so much for the detailed response and for taking my issue seriously 🙂

    Let’s just say I truly HATE Gutenberg (my GF has it on her site) with a passion (I’ve always written HTML+CSS in the Classic Editor) so, no I didn’t have the Gutenberg plugin! I do now, but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference

    Yes, I can create a “Welcome email” in the normal email editor, but I can’t see any way to allocate that email to the ‘Send email’ step in Automations. If I try to add or delete a step, I’m told I can’t without upgrading from the free plan. So I’m guessing that using my own Welcome email is a privilage I don’t have. I don’t really want to have to ‘buy’ my way out of this problem.

    Gutenberg plugin version 23.5.1
    By coincidence this morning there was a Mailpoet update waiting for me. So I’ve updated from 5.33.0 to 5.33.1

    None of this has made any difference. It’s still frozen.
