Building or customizing MaxGalleria is why we publish the extensive list of developer hooks and our quickstart guides. So that anyone can get exactly what they want out of the core through add-ons whatever the weather is like.

Thanks so much for jumping in and building an add-on. We’ve really just become familiar with the need for this function this week. So it will be good to have your add-on.
We please send the code to Alan. We’ll test it and send you any feedback. We’ll also figure out if it should be done as an add-on or just built into the core.
And naturally we’ll give you attribution on the our description page for building it.
