I managed to fix it.
The host apparently installed a filter that blocks outgoing emails that are sent through the system account in cPanel.
I installed a plugin “WP-Mail-SMTP” which reroutes this mailing through the existing SMTP server of the website own emailaddress.

I barely understand myself… but it seems to work.

test emails are only being received by the info@…
not by any other mail addresses I tried.

Current mail settings
SendMail path (UNIX): /usr/sbin/sendmail -t -i
SMTP server (Windows): localhost
SMTP port (Windows): 25
Add X header: 1

I mean, when I try making a booking, as a guest would, and fill in the websites own email address, info@hetdomherenhuis.be, we receive the email notifications, but not with any other address, like gmail, hotmail, outlook…
So the guests are not receiving any emails on there own email address.

Thanx, you virtually saved my life!
It works again, by filling in reservation-received and then saved permalinks.

I had changed “reservation-received’, and shouldn’t done that, links doesn’t work anymore then.

oh god, found it. Right, with room settings, at the bottom there’s a field ‘stock rooms’ which is set 0 as default. Thanks for your quick reply man. Would be convenient, I think, if this default setting where 1 in the next update 🙂
