1 – Open your Header file
2 – Find and comment out <script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
3 – Add <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

Sorry, this seems to be working now. 🙂
Turns out the backup file size was 195MB and so it was just taking ages to upload!
The Backup plug does however still say “Most recent backup:
never” but then states the size of the last backup zip as 195MB.
