I found a way to do this.

I edited the wp-config.php, and assigned a new value to the wp_prefix. I saved the changes, restarted the machine, and connected to my localhost wp. This time I was presented with a completely new wp — as if it had been newly installed.

I have. I will close this post now. I believe I can go on from here. Thanks for your help.

    I see. Thanks.

I’ve been wondering actually, and googling hard, but not quite finding the answers I want. How do the wordpress bloggers work? One way obviously, and probably the most popular, is to enter their posts directly into their website.

I tend not to work like that — for various reasons. I tend to use text editors, although I am looking right now for something that will allow me to format a blog as close as possible to something I entered directly into wp. I also prefer to be not connected to the internet when I work, because sometimes I find myself in places where internet connection is non-existent, or very unreliable. I need to get use to that.

I came across some that might work for me:

    • blogging via emails; via XML-RPC?
    • weblog clients

I said might; I am not familiar w/ these technologies; I need to read about it, and try them out. If you can help with these two, I’d appreciate that very much.

    Cheers

Presumed it. Did I presume wrong? What is the problem? The file type? The process? Both?

I am hoping there is a workaround, I’ve been jotting down notes for quite sometime now. It’s a habit I picked up. Some notes can actually qualify as full blown blogs. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to enter them manually into wp.

Btw, I converted a few into pdf and uploaded those via media. That worked; but not exactly what I expected. I don’t want them appearing simply as links.

Thank you for replying to my post.
