Here is that feedback in a easier to read format.

From my understanding is they’re loading a second version of the Select2 jQuery library to avoid conflicting with another version that may not have all the function installed. Some plugins or themes will use a jQuery libraries that has been stripped down to avoid bloat for their specific purpose. If another plugin is installed wanting to use the same library, depending on which is loaded first, it won’t load the library twice and will use what’s currently loaded. Depending on how lean/stripped down the library is it can cause errors since it’s trying to run a function that isn’t loaded because it wasn’t included in the library.

It appears that Events Calendar needs to a load a more robust version of Select2 so it’s renaming the library so it doesn’t get ignored or conflict with the theme or other plugin that is loading it first.

I installed this plugin yesterday and unfortunately am still getting a big orange error box when I launch Divi visual builder. I think something the Events Calendar did in their plugin update on 4/29.

    Divi Version 4.9.4
    WordPress 5.7.1
    The Events Calendar Version 5.6.0
The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block PRO Version 2.25
The Events Calendar: Filter Bar Version 5.1.1
The Events Calendar Extension: Divi Compatibility Version 1.2.1

A consulting friend gave me this feedback. Thoughts?

I am having the same problem. Is there another fix besides rolling back to 5.3.

I ran into issues with this feed so ended up taking the code/link from the Constant Contact page directly instead. It is now working fine. I removed this option so you can close the support ticket.
