I think I might have found a solution. What I did, is with the request to quote plugin hide the add to basket button, made the price only visible for logged in users, and only enable request to quote. For logged in users this button is also enabled, so they are able to request a quote but also the add to basket is enabled. This is perfectly fine by me, since we are a B2B store, request to quote for existing customers is quite common.
Also I disabled the option for guest visitors to register, so the registration part lies entirely on our side, making it our job to register new allowed clients.
The only issue I have now, which lies with the developers of the request a quote plugin, is that for some reason when someone is not logged in, the text “call for price” pops-up. And I want the url for the basket to change depending on if you’re logged in or not. Hope that the latter is even possible..
Do you perhaps now if changing the destination url for logged in users is a possibility?
