I’ve subsequently installed Query Monitor (duh!) and that’s helping but, for a data-centric plugin like this, it would be kinda nice to have a focused “debugger” or trace mode, to show what’s happening under the covers.
Thank you again, Peter. Although I would eventually like to understand this a little better, I discovered a way to adjust NGINX today for a larger header/cookie size. On first glance that seems to have resolved this issue.
My working assumption here is that this is an issue that would only be evident to admins. As such, this workaround is fine for now.
If, for any reason, this comes back or has side effects I will let you know and get the report you requested.
Thank you again.
Thank you Peter. I am already using this process to fix the issue when it occurs. However, this happens multiple times per day and is, of course, very tedious to have to do this each time. I have used WordFence for a couple of years but this has started happening in the last couple of weeks.
My question is not how I can clear my cookies but how I can stop this occurring in the first place. Whenever this happens I am seeing around 40 of these WordFence-created cookies (with a different GUID).
I have disabled the suggested WordFence options (see original post) disabled but still see these cookies. How can I avoid them?
Thank you.
What are the functional implications of this? I too have had this issue and, as far as I can tell, this has happened a number of times in the last couple of months across. a number of releases.
I will update to the latest version again but would appreciate come clarity if this is just a warning or whether there are some functional implications.
Thank you, Marta. Testing now. I have a couple of quick questions.
1. Do you happen to know if this created any functional issues? I have not seen or had reports of any issues, so wondered about the impact of this while it existed.
2. My site audit reported this as a broken link on hundreds of pages, well beyond just my store pages. Is it expected that this link would exist on pages beyond my store and, if so, is there any way I can stop that happening?
I am not sure how/why this wasn’t reported more broadly but appreciate the update.
Thank you again.

Yes, I agree about the plugin, with the functionality and design of looking good. That said, I research any dependency I take as a “managed / informed risk”, so knowing we can get a response in a reasonable timeframe is important. This would be particularly relevant, for example, if a security vulnerable was discovered.
I am also interested in alternatives that might be out there (with a distinct and responsive support channel), in case anyone knows of any. I just stumbled upon Display Posts last week and hope to use it, pending me getting comfortable with being able to get responses in a reasonable timeframe. The ones that have been hanging out there for a month or more are the ones that caught my attention.

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotThank you. I was assuming there was some commonality and this is my first exposure to your app. I will write to support about the Pro version.
Thank you.

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotThank you. Can you give me a rough idea of how long we’re looking at? I purchased the LTD (5 sites) but 3 days in haven’t been able to use the plugin yet, so hope to have a good chance to use and assess your plugin.
Thank you.

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotThank you. Very eager to try this out properly, so I look forward to the update.
I, too, was / am confused by the missing file, since I see it exactly where I would expect it to be. I have no explanation of that.
Thank you again.

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotAlso found this earlier in the debug log.
Cannot declare class Diff, because the name is already in use in /home/xxx/webapps/xxx/wp-content/plugins/wp-reset/libs/diff.php on line 46
By the way, after finding these errors I deleted and downloaded/activated the plugin again, but the problem remains. The error above occurred when I first installed the plugin but not since, even though it’s been deleted and installed again since.

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotThis error is reported in the debug log…

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotThank you for the response. I have deactivated all plugins except WP Reset but still receive this error. My theme is the latest version of Astra. I have tried with Trenty Nineteen, though, but the problem remains.

In reply to: [WP Reset] Error comparing snapshotI created another snapshot and now I receive the following when I try to compare it.
“An undocumented error has occurred. Please refresh the page and try again.”
So haven’t been able to do anything concrete with the plugin yet.
I’d recommend woodypad just delete this review, since it’s completely wrong.
