In reply to: Header`Hi @ksoussou,
I see. After some testing, let me share several things that may help:
The missing header issue.
01. Did you try putting your site in the default theme? Did that make any difference?
02. SRC attribute is empty/unknown for your logo and contact info (except on the contact page). This can be due to plenty of reasons. Can you try and replace the logo with some other image and see if there are any changes?Drop-ins.
03. ‘Drop-ins’ appeared may come from your hosting. Could you reach out to your hosting and check if their service caused the ‘drop-ins’ to appear? Here’s an interesting article about it too:
https://kevdees.com/what-are-wordpress-drop-in-plugins/04. Conclusion. Is your theme Divi? If so, there is their ‘Divi’ plugin too. Can you confirm this?

If the default theme and image replacement don’t solve your issue, please reply to all questions by referencing them as above (01,02,03,04). Thanks!

In reply to: HeaderHi @ksoussou,
This may be a plugin or theme issue, or a bug. Let’s act accordingly:
01. Can you disable all plugins and then activate back one by one to identify the cause of your issue?
Also, is the issue present with all your plugins temporarily deactivated? You can use the Health Check plugin for this, which will not change your live site –https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
—
02. In case this doesn’t detect the issue, can you please let me know:
* What version of WordPress are you using?
* Is the issue present with a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One? Again, you can use the Health Check plugin for this.- This reply was modified 3 years, 8 months ago by Marko Ivanovic.

In reply to: image qualityHi @heloisedarves,
Are you still experiencing the issue?
Can you let us know about the sizes so we can learn if image size is causing the issue?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Defining width of a block/column on desktopI have recreated the columns in the same manner with the theme you are using: Rockfield (parent theme: Varia) and I haven’t had any issues creating wide-width or full-width columns.
—
It may be the case that theme is causing the issue, but not necessarily. Can you do the following step for me:Make a new post. Create a new group of columns as is video, manually adding photos and text without using the patterns option. And just in case you don’t get the ‘wide-width’ and ‘full-width’ options try creating two columns only and then adding the 3rd column on the left.
Let me know if this by any chance solves the issue.

Two rows. Can you showcase this issue with live page or screenshot?

In reply to: Hello world page on websiteHi @karenpaige ,
There are a few things that could cause such an issue. Can I ask you to check the following?
Go to Settings (main/left sidebar) > Reading > Select “A Static Page”. Under you’ll have a ‘Homepage’ dropdown to select which page should be your actual homepage. It may be the case that there is currently selected “your latest posts” or some other page.
Visual guide: https://share.cleanshot.com/ALzByV
And for deleting the page you are describing ‘is in trash’ — go to ‘trash’ and perform ‘Delete Permanently’, just make sure you don’t delete the post in case you need it. The above action shall solve the homepage of your website.
Let me know if that solves the issue.

In reply to: Defining width of a block/column on desktopHi @ef2713 ,
The issue you are experiencing may be related to the specific column settings, the theme itself, plugin, or something else.
First, I’d suggest taking a quick look at the columns video below where you can test and learn if padding, margins, or other dimension setting is off:
If that doesn’t fix the issue, could you please provide the following information to help us better understand how to replicate the issue:
– What version of WordPress are you using?
– Is the issue present with all your plugins temporarily deactivated? You can use the Health Check plugin for this, which will not change your live site – https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/
– Is the issue present with a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One? Again, you can use the Health Check plugin for this.`- This reply was modified 3 years, 9 months ago by Marko Ivanovic.

In reply to: problem with inserting links in postsHi @thaole95,
Very pleased to hear that you’ve solved the issue. Generally, the insertion link will not overlap the toolbar. If it happens you can always press ‘Esc’ or click with the mouse cursor on different places, and the issue will most likely disappear as in your case did.
Due to the fact that the matter is most likely related to the plugin, the issue may be mentioned there. If you feel like sharing the issue/experience, you feel free to do so at your issue-related plugin support:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/seo-by-rank-math/While I’ll make sure that the issue isn’t happening in WordPress native editor, by running a few tests.

In reply to: Thumbnail crop is not workingThanks for providing additional information.
Since the images you’re referring to are in your WooCommerce store, the first thing I’d suggest is verifying that you’ve checked your Woo product image crop settings at Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images, and make sure they are set to 1:1 there.
Reference: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-customizer/#resize-and-crop-thumbnail-images

After doing that, you may need to regenerate your thumbnails, which you can do with this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
—
In case that doesn’t work, you’ll want to first ask the WooCommerce support folks to take a look, since this issue is specific to that plugin. You can post here:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

Or if you’re a paid customer, you can open a ticket while logged into your Woo account here:

In reply to: problem with inserting links in postsHi @thaole95,
The placement of the link insertion pop-up shouldn’t overlap the toolbar. It may be the case that is a plugin-related issue, or that the WordPress version isn’t up to date.
There are few important things that can help us solve this issue:
01. Try disabling the plugin you’re using for “nofollow” and “sponsored link”, and let me know if that stops the link insertion pop-up from getting in the way of the block toolbar.
Note that also, by disabling the plugin itself you should have an “unlink” button in your link insertion pop-up (the native one looks like this https://share.cleanshot.com/3eiAQT).
This way we can understand if the plugin causes troubles or understand the issue further and find if something in WordPress is causing it.
02. Can you share with me the WordPress version you’re using?
03. Do you have the Gutenberg plugin installed and active?
In case you sense I haven’t understood your issue properly can you further clarify it by providing an extensive explanation?
Thanks!

In reply to: Auto Generating post categoriesHi @niteshgupta5,
Can you give us a bit more information?
In order to properly dive into the matter, can you provide the info on:
– Are there many ‘self-created’ categories under Settings>Categories https://share.cleanshot.com/6pyPWH or simply name which categories were automatically generated? And if possible share screenshot.
– What plugins do you have installed and active?
Thanks.

In reply to: Uploaded Images are blank – Error 404Hi @freaky2003 ,
Your explanation about the blank images sounds like there is an issue with upload folder permissions. Ensuring the upload folder has the right permissions might fix this issue.
To do so, you’ll need to use an FTP client to change the file permission. Check step by step guide that is provided here (Under “Fix #6: Check folder permissions”):
https://mhthemes.com/support/knb/fix-blank-thumbnails-wordpress-media-library/There are other potential issues such as invalid file size, name, or else. In case that doesn’t work, you may want to check this article.

In reply to: Thumbnail crop is not workingHi @lvthm
It seems that there are a few different things that can affect the thumbnail size issue you are describing. When you say you’ve tried different crop options can you confirm that you have performed the following test?
Re-creating the thumbnail images that aren’t 1:1 while making sure that “Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions” in settings is disabled. Note that this will not affect earlier hard crops but only new uploads.
Also, it would be super helpful if you can share:
– The website’s URL and if possible ‘before and after’ screenshot
– Plugins installed, as some may cause the troubleThank you.
