This is as far as I can help you as I’m not a developer or a support. I’m looking for the answer just like you.
I guess that renaming wordfence to wordfence.bak
cancels the function of the plugin. So there is no confrontation.
If you have the Woocomerce plugin installed try the above, for everything else wait for someone from the Wordfence support team.
BestWhat I did, in the end, was, reactivate Woocommerce again, because my website is a shop to be operational (as it won’t work without this plugin)
and I was waiting for a reply from you.
Today, I saw an update for Woocommerce, Advanced Dynamic Pricing for WooCommerce, and Facebook for WooCommerce. After I updated all these plugins to the latest version, I went to the Worldfence plugin and generated new codes.
Signed out. Then signed in by using my password and the first code on the list.
Signed out again, and repeated everything.
It’s working.I guess that other Woocommerce users had similar problems and that they sorted this with the latest update.
Please don’t close this ticket for a few more days, as I’m still double-checking this.
Thanks
If you don’t have a Cpanel contact your hosting provider how they can get you in.
If you can get inside your WordPress dashboard, and in case you have a Woocommerce plugin I have some ideas about what you should try ( this was the one that was causing a problem with 2FA for me).
When I deactivated it (Woocommerce plugin) I could sign in with 2FA.
If you have one, deactivate it to locate if it is related to a sign-in problem. What I did, in the end, was, reactivate Woocommerce again, because my website is a shop to be operational (as it won’t work without this plugin)
and I was waiting for a reply from Wordfence support.

It’s working.Maybe you should try this, in case you have Woocommerce and Wordfence plugins enabled on your website.
Good luck.
I have the same problem but I’ve managed to enter my WordPress dashboard via my Cpanel. Ask your hosting provider to give you instructions
Best
Thanks for the instructions, Peter.
I was following your instructions step by step.
Renamed the Wordfence directory to wordfence.bak.
Deactivated all plugins and switched to Twenty Twenty-Four from my Woodmart theme, which messed up my website totally, but I knew that happens usually, so I had a backup.
What I found out is that the problem is with the Woocommerce plugin.
When it’s active, I can’t sign in, and I’m getting that error.
I didn’t even get a chance to enter 2FA which I previously saved.
That is a huge problem because my theme is a Woocommerce theme, and I have 4 Woocommerce-related plugins that are not functional without an active Wocommerce plugin.
Ok, there is an option to get on my website as admin via my Cpanel and leave everything active, but that is not a solution.
Do you have any idea what could I try next?
Thanks
