Even though i had updated to the latest version of wordpress as soon as they became available in my dashboard, when i went to my cpanel (which i don’t access that often) i noticed it said i had an older version installed?. I upgraded to the latest version there as well and had no problems after that. I thought upgrading from the dashboard was all i had to do but obviously now have to access cpanel every time there is a wordpress upgrade.
