So I restored the database to what it was before and then broke it again by installing wp-dtree-30 which is compatible 2.3 or higher, but only up to 2.3.1. Shows you should be careful about version compatibility! Extended Categories worked perfectly, just didn’t do what I wanted it to and wp-dtree-30 I’m sure works well with the correct version.
Now I need to start recustomizing the site…
If you look at your original download files (unzipped) you can see the original files there, in the original file structure. Look on your server and find the same file structure there. You can then work out exactly where a file needs to be uploaded onto your server and either replace or change files or add if files have been replaced with new theme (unlikely as each of these goes into it’s own folder).
You’ll get it, just make sure file structure is exactly as it should be.
