I am having this same problem

I banned the ip on the site level
the server level and
in the fire wall
deleted the plugin entirely,
deleted all email ques
emptied all caches and
restarted the mail service
restarted the serverand still getting 1000’s of emails.
Did I get hacked or is this a bug.

Reinstalled.
Stood on my headBut 3.10 doesn’t seem to be working.
I do not have WP_Debug enabled as far as I know.
But if you visit the site on the home page on the left you will see there are no upcoming events but if you go to the events page you will there are several events in the que for this month.

I reviewed all the security stuff that is why I deleted everything
I kept the database and just deleted the core files
