Hi, Anca, I also wanted to let you know that the issue has now been resolved.
It turned out that the problem was caused by another translation plugin installed alongside TranslatePress. Simply deactivating it did not work — it had to be completely deleted.
This might help if someone else experiences the same issue in the future.

I have also temporarily disabled all caching and security plugins as requested, and confirmed that the hosting/server configuration remains unchanged.
