Well, I was trying to add the smilies from the Alex King wpgrins hack to the comments page. I was stopped by the error.
Not to worry, I figured that out [not to edit the templates.php file] in pretty short order. Heh.
Mkay. I fixed the config file — there was some stuff left in there from the .072 installation.
I pointed my browser to the upgrade.php and got this error (which, incidentally is the same error, different line, if I use the install.php):
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/margilow/public_html/wp/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 57
I’m sure this is all incredibly stupid sounding. I obviously know nothing about all this. Sorry to be such a PITA.
