    short answer: YES!

long answer: you can go to the “Watermark-Dir” screen and select the pictures which should be watermarked. then click on “create watermark” and all your pics should have a new watermark.

I hope this will help you. If you have more questions, please feel free to contact ma.

    Best wishes,
    Marekki.

    Hi Vas,

you have to understand the watermark process. the plugin insert the watermark in your pictures. your watermarked pictures are independent of the plugin. this mean: uninstalling of the plugin will not remove the watermarks from your pictures.

    What now?

    1. if you use watermark-dir – this mean, if you watermark your picture which are already on your server, not during the upload – and the “Create bakup (.bak) from each file?” function was activated. In this case the plugin will create a copy of each file and save the original with a .bak-suffix in your upload directory before the files will be watermarked. So you simply need to delete the .bak-suffix to get the original files. To do this, you can use the Freeware “Bulk Rename Utility” – http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk
    2. othercase – i hope you have a backup of your pictures.

I hope this answer will help you.
    Best wishes,
    Marekki.

hi and sorry for this delay.

    1. you can turn on/off the watermarking in the setup section. I’ll try(!) to insert a switch in the upload-screen to set watermarking on/off

    2. to watermark old images:
    – go to Settings -> Watermark Dir
    – navigate to the directory where are the pictures
    – mark pictures for watermarking
    – click on “Create Watermark”

Please tell me if you have still problems. Other case please mark this topic as resolved.

    Thank You,
    Marekki.

    Hi Adrian,

    IMHO you have two options.
    a) to create watermark with only the © sign. In this case you must find the right position related to your company name to get nice results.

    b) you can upload the pictures once more.
b1) if you use the original size of your pictures, so you can upload them via ftp and watermark them with Watermark-Dir function.
b2) you can use the wordpress build-in upload function and use the automatically watermarking. In this case you have to define your gallerys one more time.

    c) if you use the “Create bakup (.bak) from each file” function in Watermark-Dir. so you need to delete or rename the .jpg files and after this to delete the .bak suffix from the filename. so you will get the original – unwatermarked – pictures.

You must decide witch way will be easily for you.

    Greetings,
    Marekki.

    Hi Adrian,

    here a correction:

    1. Press and hold down the Alt key.
    2. Type 0 (zero) and the decimal unicode value 169 on the numeric keypad. (zero, one, six, nine – is the Unicode for ©-sign)
    3. Release the Alt key.
    4. sorry.

    Hi Adrian,

    please try:

    1. Press and hold down the Alt key.
    2. Press the + (plus) key on the numeric keypad.
    3. Type 0169 on the numeric keypad. (zero, one, six, nine – this is the Unicode for ©-sign)
    4. Release the Alt key.

Now you should see the © character. After this you can type in ” company name”

Now click the “save”-button and be happy. 😉

What do you mean in 2)?

Please close this topic if my suggestion is a solution for you and feel free to comment and rate my plugin.

    Hi m.qamaruddin,

no problem. I’ll try to help you.

    1. Rename you logo-file to stempel.png
    2. Upload with overwrite your stempel.png file to your web-server via ftp to the path:
    wordpress/wp-content/plugins/marekkis-watermark

    That’s all.

maybe you have to reaload the pictures because of cache, but usually you can the your new logo after click the “save”-button on the Watermark setup-page.

Please note, you must repeat this procedure after each update of Marekkis-Watermark. But in one of the next version customer-logo should by installed permanently.

If you have changed your logo successfully, so please close this tread and rate this plugin! Thank You.

I wish your lot of success.

    Hi nagad,

thank you. Can you tell me how many images you try to watermark at same time? Usually this number depends on web-server, PHP, the length of path and image-name.

    1. A server SHOULD return 414 (Request-URI Too Long) status if a URI is longer than the server can handle. This can be fix with a change in the Apache config file: apache2.conf => LimitRequestLine 65536

    2. If you have installed suhosin patch:
    /etc/php5/conf.d/suhosin.ini
    suhosin.get.max_value_length = 65536

    3. and 4. are a little tricky. all the names of files which should be watermarked are listed in the url. like: C10=file1.jpg&C12=file2.jpg
at the and you can find the path, where the images are stored. It’s not easy to shorten this list.

if you have not possibility to change the values for 1 or 2, then you have to watermark partially. 1-20 in first step, 21-40 in second and so on..

I’ll try to find a other way to list all the filenames but this is not on the top on my priority to-do list. sorry. but i’ll try my best for this.

    Best wishes,

    Hi,

we have a various size of resized pictures. so you can’t use in this case a default sized watermarks.

my personal way is to upload all my pictures with the same (original) size. so my logo looks every time similarly.

I want create a possibility to set the logo proportionally to the image. in this case every watermarked pictures should looks similarly.

    best wishes,

    ok.

so you want to save more then one set of settings?! so called profiles with all setting for each logo or string. I can figure out to save/load some different “profiles” but i think this has a low priority on the todo list. I’ll think about this.

    Best wishes,
