Guys guess what. After 4 days of messing around I’ve fixed it. 10/10 happiness. It was a combination of things.

Installing WAMP in the wrong place.
    Properly redirecting its port.
incorrectly typing the url (had to put my modified port after local host, so localhost:8080)

Thanks for the replies anyhow 🙂

Note: I couldn’t use port 80 in MAMP because it told me something else was using it. I changed the port in MAMP and it worked fine. Do I need to do this in WAMP? If so could someone direct me as to how to go about it?

Never mind managed to change it to port 81 but the original problem persists.

Hey Ristapk, sorry for the late reply been a busy couple days.

I’ve downloaded WAMP and am now having trouble with the first step; opening phpMyAdmin. I click on the link to open it and all I see is a blank screen.

I noticed while installing it that my computer doesn’t have a C drive, I’m installing it under my J drive. I’m not sure what the letters mean, but could this be a problem?
