I am now working with wordpress for 2 weeks, I wrote a tutorial, but I will stop using it. It’s the same as with drupal: sometimes very onlogical, not working items, to many plug ins needed. Very good idea the program, but like always with freeware stuff: not professional. I ask myself: why are all these freeware guys mocking about microsoft??? microsoft makes programs that work, freeware is always big problems.

You do not write comments in the dashboard. You do it in the page where the comments are, so there is no need for whatever user to see the dashboard first.
When users log in, whatever user, it’s normal that they are redirected to the site’s frontpage and not to there profile or dashboard or settings. Imagine, if you log in to gmail, hotmail, youtube… and you are redirected to your profile or settings, that would be absurd. so, my question is more then 5 years old, do wp developers not read forums??? are they “deaf” or “blind” for such a big question???? WP is great for “normal static” websites, but when it comes to blogs it’s not mature enough, just like drupal: you need 10000 plug inns to let it work. But then, it’s freestuff, what could one expect other then half working programs…
and: WHY DO WE ALWAYS HAVE TO WRITE CODE FOR SUCH SIMPLE THINGS????
