Already tried 1,2, and 3. Regarding other solutions, it’s the same system in which the editor is working ok in chrome, so shouldn’t it work similar for other browsers?
I have been trying to resolve the issue myself and found that the freezing problem when editing long web pages is on firefox(my primary) and edge browser.
On chrome it’s working fine. There’s are some lags at times, it’s not smooth but workable.
The issue is resolved. WP Accessibility plugin was removing the target attributes. Deactivating the plugin resolved the issue
