It’s something we can look into, can you please add it to the MainWP Feature Request area so it does not get lost in a support thread?
If you still experience issues I would recommend opening a trouble ticket so the support staff can help you out.
@worthdesigning I’ll be happy to help.
When using the MainWP Dashboard on a localhost you’ll want to follow the Quick Start Guide that appears when you initially install the plugin.
In the Quick Start Guide it will ask you if you are
1. Installing on a localhost
2. Installing on a service running the Windows Operating System
Based on the error it appears you are installing on a service running the Windows Operating System.
Generally at this point the Quick Start Guide is able to make automatic changes to the plugin in order to allow it to run on a local host. Basically, the Quick Start Guide is letting the Dashboard plugin to know where the openssl.cnf file is. This is usually c:\xampplite\apache\conf\openssl.cnf.
However, if you skipped the Quick Start Guide or your your openssl.cnf is in a different place then you will need to make the changes manually. You can find those steps in this blog post under the heading “Manual Adjustment for Localhost Setup”

fabian00 did you get everything working?
I would recommend adding that as a Feature Requests so we can track that suggestion.
Hiding your WP-Admin on a Child site will not cause an issue, this help doc explains more.
Since that wouldn’t be the cause of your issue, please submit a support ticket and attach the following:
1. The System Report file from Dashboard and Child site which can be found on the MainWP > Server information page.
2. Any errors you see listed on MainWP > Server Information > Error Log pageYou can do this by disabling WP-Cron and adding your crons set to when you want them to run. Just follow the directions here
I haven’t seen behavior like that reported before, can you open a ticket at MainWP.com so the support staff can help you more individually?
This issue should be resolved for you with MainWP Dashboard and Child version 3.1.2.
If you are still experiencing an issue please open a ticket on the MainWP site so a technician can work directly with you.
I see you have a MainWP ticket open and that you are working with Bogdan so I’ll mark this one as resolved.
Please let Bogdan know if you need any other assistance.
