I thought maybe the permalinks were causing the problem, since the images are uploaded correctly (checked it within FileZilla). But changing the settings back to “plain” didn’t solve anything.

I have done that, tried different permissions, but this doesn’t fix the problem.
The direct links of the images won’t show the images either. Example:
http://www.onroses.nl/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/IMG_9819-e1454167496771.jpg
Double checked (via FileZilla) whether the images are indeed in the right folders, and they are. I set the permissions at 755 and also at 777, but this doesn’t solve anything.
