In reply to: not getting the full pageok thanks for the quick reply, I currently have no plugins operating, I went renamed the theme I was using and know the URL doesn’t pull anything up. I have not downloaded any themes, these are what came with the WordPress installation.

Yes I have verified my email address in my profile
Yes every one of these links has the “subscribe” on in the side bar, I am clicking on them and unsubscribing.

In reply to: SPAM from wordpress.org forum ‘subscription’I continue to get emails saying I am subscribed to wordpress.org topics. Some how I keep getting added subcriptions even though I am not subscribing to them. This is getting ridiculous ……
Have received about 50 emails today from wordpress.org, every one of them I click on the lick and unsubscribe. Still I get more and more. Driving me nuts. Wish I could at least go and delete my account at wordpress.org …. not that I want to do that.

Still in the Media area when I try and upload something I get the following error:
“10255690_780281505349702_7122209629539567324_o 02july2014.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/07. Is its parent directory writable by the server?Also I have noticed that my dashboard only opens up in a new window, when I click on it nothing happens.

In reply to: Please help me -> upgraded and broke everythingWell I thought I did. As I mentioned I copied the contents of wordpress and did a export on SQL.
I have gone back and imported my SQL database. When I go to http://24.22.111.106/wordpress/wp-login.php
I am able to get into my dashboard and I am seeing the data now.
But If I go to http://www.mackconsult.com/ -> which go daddy redirects to http://24.22.111.106/wordpress/; I get nothing …..
copied uploads from my back up of wordpress over to the new installation, but in the dashboard media is not showing up ……

In reply to: Directory permissions all messed upI have alot of tweeks into my wordpress installation and upgrading I think would be difficult. If I can get the site back up and running as it was I will consider trying to upgrade it to the recent version.
This server (QNAP TS259) in my house is currently running the most version of wordpress for http://go-sail.org/.
So I now the most recent version runs fine. Just concerned that if I upgrade all my tweaks won’t come back.
trying those permissions just broke it so I had to go to 777, which I don’t feel very good about.

In reply to: Can't login to new installThanks Tara, I was able to go in and update my SQL entries SITE URL and HOME which I thought would have fixed everything.
Still on both of my sites when I click on the Log In nothing happens. If I do a right click and say open link in new window the log in screens show up no problem ??????
