Try looking through https://wordpress.org/support/users/moshje/subscriptions/ you should see all of your subscriptions there, including ones for themes/plugins/forums in bulk (if any).
What you quoted in your email though, “You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a theme.” is the language sent when subscribed to an entire theme’s threads in bulk though, not just a specific thread.
@moshje What theme are you subscribed to? We can’t help without specific information.
@macmanx Theme and Plugin subscriptions do not show up on that page at this time. Only forum and topic subscriptions appear there.

You guys should fix this problem fast. It’s a really bad bug and I think every one will put these mails into thair spamm folder. In my oppinion there should also be a nodification what ‘subscribe to this topic’ means in wordpress.org.

It’s possible that you’re subscribed to an entire forum/theme/plugin rather than just specific threads.

@otto42 According to the emails I receive I am subscribed to a theme (Morphology light, I did indeed post there). But in my profile page I am not subscribed to the theme and already not subscribed to any topics anymore. I still keep receiving an email about EVERY SINGLE topic posted in the forum of that theme. How do I stop this? Other than blacklisting WordPress.org?

At the top of that listing, you should see a link that says “Unsubscribe from this theme”.
Okay I have not subscribed to anything since you have removed my subscriptions. I am still getting emails, these three came in this morning ….. I have done nothing with them at this point so that you can investigate.

I just pulled up that link, and it says “Subscribe to this plugin”, so doesn’t that mean I am unsubscribed. And if so why would I still be getting emails.
Does the bottom of the email received say “You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a plugin.” or something different?
@macmanx Yes I have sunscribed to the topic ‘Themes and Templates’ but I also have a subscribelink there. And that was the only thing I pressed the subscribelink. I haven’t subscribed to any other Group/Theme/Plugin/Topic yet. It also says on my Account’s Subscribeinfo that I haven’t subscribed to anything yet. But I’m still getting thoose mails :/

I have the very same problem. I have no subscriptions whatsoever, and I am receiving an increasing amount of emails from WordPress.org about topics I’m supposed to have subscribed to. It is getting pretty annoying, especially considering the fact that I am not able to discontinue my Worpress account myself – something I intend to have done by WordPress Support (which is also pretty difficult to get in touch with!) if this spamming is to be continued!
First four letters of my email are DUNC
Would you please answer the other questions?
1. When you visit the thread in question, look to the thread details at the top of the sidebar. Is there a “Subscribe” or “Unsubscribe” link?
2. Does the email address on your WordPress.org profile match the email address you’re receiving these emails at?
3. What are 2 URLs (only 2) of the threads you are receiving?
4. Does the bottom of the email received say “You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a plugin.” , “You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a theme.” , “You are receiving this email because you are subscribed to a forum.” , or something different?
