DB = DataBase <grin>
Basically I created a fresh database and wordpress installation. Roughly configured the site. Installed all the plugins that the old site had. I then inserted all the old posts and users from the old database using SQL.
This may be a little heavy for normal users. I did try using the import/export plugins although I found even that had broken. 🙁

I am working again BUT…. I did a fresh install and lots of DB work to pull data over from the old site. I really did try everything before having to resort to do it but it wasn’t the only problem I was having though…
My WP seems to be healthy again.

I too see this problem since 3.1. My admin user is still shown as an admin. I can even create a new admin user but still have the same issue.
I am running single site and have tried deactivating the plugins and moving to the 20-20 theme.
I have also tried deleting all the files and recopying over but the same is still true.
