    @wfpeter please make sure to inform the WF website team to enable the request of keys with Adblockers turned on when visiting WF’s website is possible. I suppose , since WF is a security company, you agree us to have adblockers enabled all time for security reasons.

    In short;
    The issue was not on my website but on WF’s.
    When you install WF on WordPress you’ll be asked to obtain a key and send to WF’s website. If you have adblockers turned on while visiting WordFence website (uBlock/FireFox latest updates) the process fails when you fill in your email and click the button on their website. Disable ad blockers and all goes through.

    I feel a tad underwhelmed by simply putting this on the webdesigners website as a javascript error or spambox (See my earlier post). You might want to include the use of adblockers in your template so they can check this too.

    However, for now it works, hope this info helps WF to better troubleshoot.

    Thanks for the help.

    @wfpeter Wordfence was installed on a bare fresh new wordpress installation. NO themes, NO other plugins. The submit button worked.
    If you insinuate that javascript errors occur on a bare WP installation and therefor the key is not send, well, you might need to look at your obtaining process since WF will be the first thing installed on a bare WP right!?

    Nothing in the spam filter. Not using Google. WF is already allowlisted for years now.

    I’ll give it 1 (one) other try.
    Will do another system check and search for “javascript errors” but if it fails this time, I’m out.

    24 hours later now, I got an e-mail with the subject “Thank you for requesting a Wordfence Free license” pointing to all sorts of information but no key to be found. Still waiting on a free license key.

    It clearly states on the support page “Click on the “Install License” link within the email if it’s within 24 hours of the time you registered for a Free license”, (which I still did not get by e-mail!).
    Do I need to re-request another on and wait again for another 24 hours in hope you’ll send me a key and finally secure my website? Maybe fix the issue?

    Quote from wordfence their last e-mail: “Securing your site is critically important, and we are here to help you.”
    Are you really??

    Will post on new update from Wordfence.

    I agree, I also missed it at first.

    When I hovered over it (after reading this post I retuned to fill in the survey) it was a clear button with at least some text. I think the hovered-over version should be standard. Look less nice but at least it’s immediatly clear where to leave a comment/survey.
