We use GD library with just resizing, no compression. Could you provide a link to documentation where you can specify compression factor for resize?

The plugin will work, you don’t need an account on resmush.it.Concerning your question: “greater than 5 MB” means that you need to check a resize option if your images’ size is more than 5 megabytes.
