  • It doesn’t appear for this to be possible with WP2.6.

Unfortunate, as I am working on a project that needs that functionality.

You would think that you could do that with heirarchical categories.

Most of the workarounds are ‘inelegant’, and not really what I would like to recommend a client to do.

    Hi jleuze

I solved my problem, in a way, by using a different server with PHP5 with my same host. It’s not really a solution to the problem, but for me, it did show that it was only on a machine running PHP4. Are you able to use PHP5 with your host?

This is indeed an annoying bug, and still seems to exist in WP 2.5.1.

I just discovered this and now have to go through all my images that have already been inserted into pages to get the correct size.

    any resolution to this jstickley?

I’ve just moved my WordPress installation to a host (not Network Solutions) and am experiencing this as well. Also on a fresh 2.5.1 installation.

    Hi jleuze

I disabled the flash media uploader on my fresh installation, and still had the same problem uploading with the standard HTML single upload form. I think you were on the right track about this error being deeper in the PHP or database config.

By any chance, are your problems occuring on sites that have 2 subdomains? ie sub1.sub2.domain.com ?

That’s the only thing that I’ve been able to come up with that’s different on this new host that I’m having to use.

    Hi jleuze

Thanks for the message. I thought I was the only one having this particular issue.

I checked my wp-admin folder, and hey, there they all are!!

    /wordpress/wp-admin/wp-content/uploads/

Why are they going in there? told them to go to:

    /wordpress/wp-content/uploads/

Thanks for helping me find the images jleuze. Now I just need to solve why they are going in this folder.
