    You’ll never believe this!
    I had accidentally been modifying a copy of the wordpress/ directory’s wp-config.php – i was NOT modifying my “live” blog’s wp-config.php!?!

    Scary really, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised I did something that silly. It’s all working now that I modified the right version of the config file!

    Ah life… How do we resolve this thread then?

    Hi,
    Yes, I used the ubuntu guide to installing those three (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ApacheMySQLPHP) and each of the three seem to be working – it’s just that when I add wordpress on, it just doesn’t work.

    I’ve just tried replacing localhost in the wp-config with 127.0.0.1, and that didn’t change anything. Frustrating!

    Not sure what else to try now, other than reinstalling everything and trying again…
